Come play with us! |
The SMMS summer camp runs three mornings a week, July 9th-August 1st, from 8:30-12:00pm.
Come join our summer camp experience making new friends, playing outside, and engaging in special craft and science projects. Our program is designed with 3-6 year olds in mind, but older siblings are also welcome to join the fun. Our Schedule: Three days a week (Tuesdays - Thursdays) 8:30 am - 12:00 pm $120 per week per child |
How many children are enrolled each at week at SMMS Summer Camp?
The maximum number of children who can enroll each week is 20. Children will be in a single mixed-age cohort with a teacher and an assistant. Older peers and siblings are welcome to join our fully enrolled preschoolers during our summer session. It has been beautiful to see the different age groups working together collaboratively: the older child offering a helping hand or reading a book to their younger siblings, the three year old twirling in their dress trying to impress the five year old they look up to. Maria Montessori was a wise woman to recognized how children can influence one another in such a strong and positive way when sharing a prepared environment. Can we bring snack? Yes! Children should bring a snack from home each day along with a filled water bottle. Our school is a nut-free environment. What is your cancellation policy? If you withdraw your child with more than 2 weeks before their registered week of camp, we will fully refund the cost of those weeks missed. If you cancel with less than 2 weeks before their registered week of camp, we will refund 50% of the cost of weeks missed. Is your Summer Camp religious and/or based on the Montessori philosophy? No, SMMS Summer Camp does not have a religious focus or any religious curriculum. During summer camp, we put away the Montessori materials for a relaxed summer experience, but our values remain the same: we are a community informed by the principles of peace, respect and grace for all. At SMMS Summer Camp we fill our days by engaging in special craft and science projects, and we will spend much of our time outside, doing fun projects and playing!
