Sunnyside Mennonite Montessori School is a small school in the heart of the Hawthorne neighborhood of Southeast Portland. We are committed to following the teaching methods of Maria Montessori, whose ideas were ahead-of-her time, but have stood the test of time. Throughout its history, SMMS has been committed to making high-quality early childhood education affordable. Through annual fundraising, and with generous sponsorship from Portland Mennonite Church, we are able to keep tuition costs low.
