COVID-19

Due to concerns about covid-19 spread, SMMS is currently offering a robust Distance Learning program! In the coming months, the SMMS Board of Directors will re-evaluate and decide when to reconvene In-Person Learning.

Distance Learning Offerings...

Zoom Learning Sessions
Half-Hour Zoom sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. During this time, we sing songs, play literacy games, experience math concepts, play games with colors and shapes and have time for sharing.

At-Home Bags
Monthly, at-home bags are distributed to families, containing supplies that are used during Zoom learning sessions, as well as for offline work and discovery at home.

Zoom Lunch
Twice weekly, we gather on Zoom and eat lunch together, while having spontaneous conversation. Children enjoy telling stories and discussing topics, such as favorite ice cream flavors.

Weekly Park Gatherings
On Fridays, families are invited to bring masks and a blanket to a park, where we will engage in some group activities together. This will provide some distanced in-person interaction for the children.

Zoom Parent Meetings
We will gather via Zoom to discuss Montessori concepts and ways families can engage in learning together at home.

If this is something you’re interested in, please contact us! We have space available!
